AS FAR AS I KNOW, I WAS THE FIRST PERSON IN THE WORLD TO DO THESE THINGS

• 1963 - Built a rubber band powered balsa model VTOL airplane. It rose straight up, went forward, and landed almost straight down.
• 1969 - Modified two record changers so their arms could move far enough in to play the 4-inch Hip Pocket records.
• 1970 - I made the first list of all three major contenders in quadraphonic sound: SQ, CD-4, and QS.
   I sketched out each of these systems and how they could work as an exercise in how a quadraphonic phonograph record could work.
   This was after I saw the design for the Hafler Diamond, and before any of the three existed.
• 1970 - I had the first concept of the SQ matrix system in the above exercise - one year before Columbia thought of it.
   At the time I thought it was useless because the separation between music and hall ambience would be only 3 dB.
• 1971 - First matrix quadraphonic sound effects recording for a stage play.
   The high school play was "Ondine" and I used the Hafler Diamond system.
• 1971 - First height effect (centered over the listener) in the sound effects recording above.
    It was a thunder effect. I used delays to create the overhead image.
• 1972 - First jukebox with quadraphonic speakers.
• 1972 - First fully adjustable passive decoder for any RM matrix recording.
• 1984 - Modifications for a Collaro Conquest record changer
   to add a cue control, antiskate, turntable stop during change cycle, and auto speed change.
• 1986 - First totally passive SQ decoder (placed after the power amplifier).
• 1986 - First totally passive separation enhancement for matrixed quadraphonic decoding (in above decoder).
• 1988 - I invented the only truly fair voting system that works fairly for any number of candidates.
   But nobody wants to use it. The phrase "One Man, One Vote" demands the defective Plurality Voting System (Vote for only one).
• 1989 - Derived the recombination formula for counting (objects replaced, but order not mattering)
• 1989 - Derived equiprobable measures for randomly choosing recombination events.
• 1992 - First matrix quadraphonic (Dolby Surround) live DJ event for a party.
• 1993 - Invented the Surrfield (surround field) microphone for live event recording.
   It presents sounds in true directions in 360° in headphones and using QS or Dolby Surround.
• 1994 - Created a light source that allows people with color-weak (protanomaly, deutanomaly, tritanomaly) vision to see colors as we do.
   It must be the only source of light in the room to work.
   Other methods to see the correct colors are a color TV, a digital camera and display, a phone camera, and color ink jet printouts.
• 1994 - Created the velocity trip algorithm for detecting kinesiological motion onset using the design of the Collaro record changer trip device.
• 1995 - I discovered how much Intel and Microsoft hate scientific uses of computers:
   They discontinued the ISA computer bus, the MSDOS operating system, and other parts that had been standard for 13 years on PCs.
   None of the scientific equipment in any of the labs I worked for could be used with the new computers.
   It cost millions of dollars to replace that equipment with new equipment the computers were compatible with.
   Every time Microsoft changes to a new operating system, the old software for the equipment stops working.
   Every time the OS is updated or upgraded, the scientists must do a lengthy ceteris paribus check to be sure data handling is unchanged.
   Scientific research depends on nothing else changing.
• 1996 - Learned in a dream the concept of trigonometric relativity.
• 1996 - Devised from that dream that there is only one speed in the universe - the speed of light.
   All other speeds are relative to objects also going the speed of light, but in different directions.
   We travel through and experience time at the speed of light.
   We do not experience this direction (time) because lightspeed Lorentz-contracts the time dimension to zero length as we see it.
• 1996 - I solved the 1965 Northeast Blackout after working on a power use metering system that measured VAR (Volt-amps Reactive).
   Once I knew what VAR was, The Power Commission report showed that the power system was at the overload trip point for VAR that day.
• 1998 - Invented the Phlazex stereo modifier and matrix encoder.
• 1998 - Invented a way to encode Regular Matrix quadraphonic sound (QS, EV, DQ, DS) with a 4-bus mixer and a special insert adapter.
• 2001 - I solved why the Twin Towers fell as they did:
   I was watching the second tower on TV. The tower had a gap in the outer wall showing two floors.
   The upper floor sagged until it touched the floor under it. When they touched, the building collapsed.
   Research showed me that there were no interior supports - the outer shell held the whole building up.
   Research also showed that each floor was made to hold up only its own weight and its contents.
   When that upper floor touched the lower one, that floor could not hold the weight.
   So both floors fell on the one below and started a chain reaction.
   From blacksmithing, I knew steel softens at 780°C. The steel didn't melt, it bent.
• 2003 - Solved the 2003 Northeast Blackout. It had the same cause as the 1965 one (VAR overload).
   An inspector wanted necessary phase capacitors disconnected for inspection when he was there, not at night under low load conditions.
• 2003- I invented the Spherfield microphone for recording any sound's position in a spherical area.
   I also invented Spheround for recording this and listening to it.
• 2009 - Found out how medieval churches had colored stained glass windows, but let white light into the room for reading.
   Renaissance people tried hard to make stained glass to let white light in for reading, and failed.
   I was in a church in 2009 where I could read under white light when all windows were colored.
   The secret is to have enough colors to mix to make white, and the glass must be translucent so the colors come from everywhere.
• 2013 - Designed and built a second-gear-start control for winter driving for the 2002 Pontiac Bonneville I owned.
• 2013 - Made a 120 volt 125 watt bed warmer from a 240 volt 500 watt baseboard heater.
• 2013 - Built a window air conditioner remote thermostat and control box.
• 2013 - Made a screw vernier thermostat control from a thermostat and a C clamp.
• 2014 - Made an infrared replacer for a cold room from radiant heater lamps wired in series.
• 2014 - Used a combination of LED lamps to make a full spectrum lamp with no dips in the light curve
   LEDs usually have gaps in their light curves.
• 2014 - Used a combination of LED lamps to make a switchable lamp that can simulate what people with color blindness see.
• 2023 - Figured out why the "scientists" at Skinwalker Ranch lost power every time they shot a rocket.
   They get all their field power from car batteries. The launcher is almost a dead short across the battery when fired.
